HAPPY, HEALTHY, PRODUCTIVE AND PEACEFULL,
THE NEW YEAR 2008. Dear Friends and Colleagues, Brothers and Sisters in the Ethnic Press and Media: As the year 2007 is already history, I want to welcome the New One 2008 with hopes and dreams for a better world for each one of you and your loved ones and to assure you that through your organization we achieved recognition by all the levels of the Canadian Government. Early this year we are working on our plan to re-Educate our members and as well as the board of directors continue their efforts for more just and equitable distribution of the Government of Canada ads. To this extend I received assurances from the PMO that they organize a meeting with participants all parties involved in order to clear this mess. I have every reason to believe the Prime Minister as I am waiting to hear from his office. Soon, next week, Balmoral Marketing will be in touch with all the members to confirm their input to our survey, as we are planning our next step. Taking today's opportunity I want to thank the Ministry of Culture, and the Office of the Prime Minister, for their great help in order to finance the development of our sector and our industry. Thanks also to Hon. Jim Karygiannis M.P., for his continuing help to our organization, as well as Michael Prue, MPP, for his help to our members in the case of the provincial taxation PST. Please that our monthly meeting for the month of January 2008, is taking place as planet on Monday, January the 14th, at 6:00 pm, committee room N# 2, first floor, Main Legislative Building, Queen’s Park, Toronto.
